Hike, Bike, and Clean!

Saturday, November 14 from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

This volunteer opportunity aims to bring together hiking and bicycling enthusiasts who frequent the trails at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge. This event is weather-permitting. Cancellation is possible if trails become too muddy after rain. Call the Visitor Center at 510-745-8695 for more information.

Where: Meet at the Dumbarton Fishing Pier parking lot in Fremont at the end of Marshlands Rd.

What to Bring: Water, snacks, sunscreen, cotton garden gloves recommended.

Bicyclists: Expect to ride 5 miles to the cleanup site and 5 miles back on a level, dirt levee trail. Expect to pick up trash for 1 - 2 hours.

Hikers: Expect to walk dirt levee trails for 2 miles out and 2 miles back and pick up trash along the way.
